This on-going project originated from a love of Christmas and collecting old photographs. The main theme within this series of images is the inclusion of a Christmas tree. The symbolic nature of the Christmas tree is deeply rooted in history and for decades families have gathered around it to celebrate.

As a child, I would watch my mother decorate the tree with such precision, there was never an item out of place and it truly was a thing of aesthetic beauty. The Christmas tree was always central to our festivities, we would gather around it for most of the day as do most families around the world.
